Well said. I feel I do a good job of leaving things better than I found them, but I also tend to take the easy route. It reminds me of Steve Jobs saying "The people who are crazy enough to think they can change the world are the ones who do", and then your friend Daniel taking it to heart and making a real change. Love it!
I live in Boise, Idaho and with downtown parking you get the first 20 minutes of metered parking free. You pay for time above that. When it’s up, a light blinks in the meter so the parking cop k is which cars to ticket.
My business partner and I were walking down the street at lunch the other day and he kept interrupting our conversation and walking up to the meters with blinking lights and pressing the button to add the free twenty minutes for people who hadn’t made it back to their cars.
An opportunity of simple and anonymous kindness that contributes to the ripple.
Now I do the same thing whenever I walk through downtown.
“Opportunities abound.” Micro moments that take almost no time… will ripple! I always emphasize that kindness can even involve no human contact - picking up a piece of trash or returning a stray shopping cart in a parking lot.
YES, opportunities abound. Let’s notice and embrace these opportunities every day!
Wow... I'm sorry it's taken me so long to get back to this and offer warmth, big open arms of receiving kindness, and immense gratitude for what you've put out here. Opportunities most definitely abound don't they. Abundance in how we can be human for each other, to express choice through kindness and say 'here, have some of my strength, I don't need all of it'. You honour us with how you show up here and honour me and our KL team in the recognition of what we are doing. Thank you dear friend.

You are so right--we need to be on the hunt for those 'no contact' opportunities, too!
🙏👏😍 I look at “gentle, more tolerant, driving” as a wonderful form of kindness as well!
As usual, beautifully said..also rejoicing over the phrase.. "My husband Ted".
It's a little bit weird but pretty wonderful, too =)
